ANYTHING GOES

As Christmas creeps up upon us it is time for another challenge over at Let's Craft & Create.

Our challenge this time is "ANYTHING GOES"

This challenge is going to run for 3 weeks instead of the normal 2 weeks to take us over the Christmas & New Year period.

For this challenge I have made a simple card and a wee pouch to hold some hair clips and ties.

For the card I have used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a Spellbinder Blossom Die.  The ribbon is from Ribbon Girl and the bling is from my stash.  The image I have used is one from the Forever Friends cd rom.

For the pouch I have used the same materials but on a smaller scale and have also used a Sizzix embossing folder.

I also made the hair clips and hair ties.

We look forward to you coming on over and visiting us and please do enter our challenge.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and New Year.

ROUND AND ROUND

This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is named ROUND AND ROUND.
(Use a circle or circles on design).

I have made two cards for this challenge.

I made this card for a relatives birthday.  The image and paper I purchased from The Paper Shelter and I made the circular sentiment on my computer.

For my second card I have made this Christmas countdown easel advent card.  I purchased the digital kit from The Printable Craft Shop.  I thought this card would be perfect for my parents as they have a dairy farm on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand.

Please come on over and check out our blog and please feel free to enter.  Everyone is welcome and who knows you may just win a wee prize.

See you there.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

Another fortnight has come around quickly (and I still have not made a start on my Christmas cards).  Maybe this week.

This fortnight challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is Reuse, Renew, Recycle.

For this challenge I wanted to make something a little different so I decided to reuse a pre-decimal New Zealand stamp and make it into a necklace.

Sorry for the poor quality of the necklace photo but the light was not good.

I am looking forward to you coming over and joining in on the challenge.  See you there.

GO DIGI

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for the lady who looks after number 2 son at Home Base Daycare once a week for me.  He will be leaving her in a couple of weeks to head to school so I have made this card for her.

The background papers and flower image are all digi's from  Pink Petticoat.  The ticket I have tea dyed a piece of card and then printed a digi ticket from Cuddly Buddly.  Ribbon and lace are from The Ribbon Girl.  The rose, pearls and butterfly are from my stash.
To finish the card off I have made a charm chain using some glass beads from Craft Runner.

I got this idea of using the combination of the background paper and image from a sample card from Pink Petticoat. (Thankyou)

I will be entering this card into the fortnightly challenge running at the moment at Let's Craft & Create- Challenge # 25 GO DIGI.

FAIRIES

I am always on the look out for fun and interesting things to make.  Today I have made bottle cap fairy magnets.  The images I purchased from madebyjanet at Esty.
Don't they just look soooooo cute.

Then I thought how could I present them to someone as a gift so I made this tag to put them on.  The papers I have used are from Beatrix Jennings.  I even brought out my sewing machine to add a little extra detail. Ribbon and lace from The Ribbon Girl,
(I tea dyed the ribbon and crinkled it myself)
butterfly die from Dienamics and pearls and flowers from my strash.

I am entering these into Let's Craft & Create Challenge #24 - Fairy Tales

Thanks

EAT CAKE!!!

Hi Everyone

Today I would like to share with you a delightful wee cupcake and gift box I made.  The wrapper is made with a piece of cardstock and embossed with a Crafts-Too folder.  The cupcake itself will not leave you feeling guilty about the calories as it is made using a washcloth and a pair of baby socks.

To add a finishing touch I decided to make a wee gift box using a paper from the Grace Taylor Vintage Collection and decorated it with some ribbon, cork butterfly, paper rose, tag and a gorgeous wee teddy bear charm.

I am so pleased with the way it has all come together.

I will be entering this into the fortnightly challenges over at Let"s Craft & Create - Challenge #23 - EAT CAKE.

Thanks

TAG IT

Hello to all, sorry I have not posted for a while.  Some days I just don't know where my time goes.  My three boys kept me busy.

Anyway I did have some time up my sleeve today and I have made this tag.  The gorgeous papers I have used are from  Beatriz Jennings downloads from her Esty Shop.  The butterfly I have used a C.C Design die and finished it off with a paper rose. The ribbon is from Ribbon Girl and the lace and pearls are from my stash.

I am entering this tag into challenge # 22 over at Let's Craft and Create.

Baby

A friend of mine asked me to make a card and gift for a baby boy and girl.  This is what I came up with.

The cards have been made using digi images from Pink Petticoat http://www.pinkpetticoat.co.uk/
(A awesome sight you must check out).

I have coloured the faces using copics and for the parms I have used the techinque of paper piecing. To embellish I added some flat back pearlsand rinestones, ribbon, glitter and some tiny button stars.

The gifts are a pair of socks and a flannel made up to look like a cupcake. To finish them off I have placed them in a clear acetate cupcake box, added some wood wool, ribbon and label.
